I bought what is essentially disaster coverage with hardly any benefits and a huge deductible. I never had a claim and yet they had the audacity to increase my premium 20% after one year. No thanks.. |

Hello, I spent 20 min on the phone with goldenrule and was put on hold for 15 out of 20 min. When I finally spoke to the woman she was rude and then put me hold and then hung up on me, it was one of the worst customer service experiences of my life.
This is a horrible website too!. |

I've had Golden Rule for a couple years now and its like not having health insurance at all, except for a price. They don't do a damned thing if you call them. They don't cover anything even when they are supposed to and they don't have any reliable list of Doctors. Most of the Docs I've seen in the last couple years won't even accept the insurance.. |

I sent in an application for 2 months insurance coverage for the months of July and August 2009. I called today to make sure my application and my payment for those two months had also been received. I spoke with them and was told they put me in for 1 month and was sending me a check for 1 month (which would have been August). When I questioned her, she said oh, we made a mistake. You did ask for 2 months!!! She WOULD NOT let me talk with a Supervisor and stated they would call me back in 24 HOURS. I am very concerned and nervous that this mistake will not be corrected. My Cobra ends June 30!! Also I am looking for Supplemental insurance with my Medicare in September and you can be assured it will not be with Golden Rule. Now I have to wait and HOPE she follows through with having a Supervisor call me!!!. |

This company has very dicey sales practices, and they are DESPERATE for your money. Less than one minute after I entered my phone number into the form on their Web site, they called me; I'm not kidding. On the phone, they kept passing me around to different representatives, for no apparent reason, who talked 100 miles per hour. I specifically asked for dental insurance with my medical plan, and they offered me FACT, which is NOT insurance coverage--it is only a discount valid within a narrow network of providers. They attempted to make an audio recording of me answering their questions with "yes" or "no". But if you say an answer they don't want, they'll keep starting the recording over again. They finally gave up and passed me to someone who handles "problem customers" (aka "smart customers who ask questions"). When I asked about their coverage exclusions, they said I had to wait for them to send me a document disclosing that information. You should always be able to learn about specific coverage, exclusions and networks BEFORE you accept a plan...not afterwards. They are totally backwards and they just want your money, so avoid Golden Rule Insurance.. |

I wanted a health insurance scheme that can cover me under a low cost and high deductible plan. Golden Rule satisfied me with much more advantage along with this including tax advantaged savings account. Thus they proved that they can cross my expectations and they were always successful in doing that. I would suggest you that if you want a plan that can help you to enjoy the co pay benefits, then there is no need of waiting more. You can easily get a policy with Golden rule.. |
